In my opinion, the new Softball pitching rule where the pitcher is allowed to step back off the rubber before the delivery will not effect HS pitching for another couple of years. Young Pitchers at this point have been taught the traditional pitch, delivering with both feet on the rubber. Once a Young pitcher’s muscle memory is set, it will be tough to readjust to a step back motion. With that said we will continue to see the conventional way of pitching for sometime.
