Episode 36 – Triple Crown Family Fun Center SVC Sports Talk 10/01/12

On this week’s episode of the Triple Crown Family Fun Center SVC Sports Talk podcast show, we learn more about parents officiating games in which their kid is playing and why this has caused such an issue locally.

The show also covers more pet peeves, a volleyball race as well as this year’s POY, the golf postseason, and a close look at one football star possibly playing through some pain. Speaking of football, the show also includes our Two-Minute Drill as we predict the four winners in Week 7.

  1. In response to your POY discussion in VB for the SVC. I agree with Matt about the eye test and stat sheet, but a POY should also make those players around them better. Normally, the league champion or runner up has a top player that stuffs the stat sheet, but also has the ability to make role players better. In that regard, I see no way how Haley Carle does not rise to the top in the POY discussion. Not only does she put up numbers, but if you actually watch her play, she keeps the players around her upbeat and intense at all times; and also does an outstanding job at getting others involved.

By the way, I’m a newcomer to the SVC Sportszone, but I really like what you are doing with the website and talk show.

    1. THANKS – Glad to hear you are aware of the website. You will love our basketball coverage in the winter as well. You can click on the SVC Sports Talk above (on left) and listen to all of our shows from last year.
